Senate Moves Forward with $40 BILLION for Ukraine After McConnell's Kiev Photo-Op with Zelensky
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell promised the Senate will pass $40 BILLION in funding for Ukraine, after he became the latest politician to have a weekend photo-op in Kiev. It appears that without Afghanistan, Congress needs a new country to pour billions of Dollars in "aid" into with no oversight…
The United States Senate is one step closer to approving $40 BILLION Dollars in funding for Ukraine. This comes after McConnell became the latest member of Congress to visit the tourist attraction that is Kiev for a photo-op with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
But it also comes after Senator Rand Paul became the only Senator to object to the measure last week. His main reason why? Because the legislation did allow the Inspector General to oversee how the money was spent.
In other words, Congress is just planning on approving $40 Billion for one of the most corrupt countries in the world, with NO plans to oversee how that money is spent.
At least with Afghanistan, we got a report every year that outlined all of the ways the BILLIONS in aid had been wasted or lost.
