Why is Nancy Pelosi Meeting with Zelensky in Ukraine?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Kiev last weekend, becoming the highest-ranking US official to meet with Ukrainian President Zelensky since… Wait, what? Why in the cornbread hell is Pelosi in Ukraine?

I know, I know, it’s a popular place for both US officials and mainstream media talking heads to visit lately… but Pelosi’s visit just happens to come days after President Biden asked Congress to approve a staggering $33 Billion Dollars in funding for Ukraine.

And yes, that’s the same Nancy Pelosi who routinely pays tribute to Ukrainian Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera, who oversaw the deaths of thousands of civilians during World War Two.

Meanwhile, Biden is busy telling jokes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner — to the only audience that actually approves of his time in office. 

So, given that the Biden Administration has made supporting Ukraine their top priority, you would think that everything was good to go here in the US… Except that it’s not. At all. 

Inflation remains at 40-year highs. Gas prices continue to soar. The US economy unexpectedly shrank in the first quarter of this year. And Wall Street is starting to warn that the US is on the brink of a major recession. 

Yet the Government is worried about… Ukraine.
