Zelensky Praises Ukrainian Drone Attack, Says War 'Returning to Russia'
Zelensky wasted no time in praising the latest Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow, and claiming it's evidence that the war is "returning to Russia."
While the Biden Admin publicly claims it doesn't condone attacks on what it recognizes as Russian territory, it's also not doing anything to stop Kiev, as Washington continues to supply the funding and weapons that make the attacks possible...
Moscow was just targeted by another drone attack, and this time the mainstream media isn’t shying away from reporting that Kiev was behind it. In fact, even the Ukrainian leader himself is taking credit for the attack that left two buildings partially damaged and one civilian injured in the Russian capital’s financial district.
Zelensky posted a video in which he said, “Ukraine is getting stronger, and the war is gradually returning to Russia’s territory, to its symbolic centers and military bases. This is inevitable, natural, and absolutely fair.”
Right… So, this is Ukraine showing the world how strong it is, and it has nothing at all to do with trying to distract from the failure that has been the “spring offensive.”
A spokesman for Ukraine’s Air Force also spoke out on Sunday, claiming that the latest string of drone attacks targeting Russian territory are a wake-up call for the Russian people who were not previously touched by the war.
It’s statements like these that mark a notable shift, with officials in Kiev becoming more vocal. Do you remember back in May when there was that drone attack on the Kremlin? The Western media was so quick to claim that Russia must be going to war against itself *again* that it didn’t leave much room for the question of, what if Ukraine is behind it?
It seems as though it was only after the Nord Stream pipelines were sabotaged, the Crimean Bridge was bombed multiple times, and the Kremlin was hit by a drone—just to name a few examples—that the West realized they may need to come up with a new story because the narrative of claiming that Russia had nothing better to do than to waste its resources destroying its own infrastructure, wasn’t holding up quite like it used to.
But here’s the problem with Ukrainian officials speaking up and boasting about those drone attacks on Russian territory… it could and should get them in trouble with the country that is doing the most to keep Ukraine’s government and military afloat. Because typically, when there is an attack inside Russia, White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre makes statements such as this one from July 24, when she said, “As a general matter we do not support attacks inside of Russia.”
But, as a reminder, the U.S. isn’t just supporting Ukraine with money and weapons… they’re all supporting them with military intelligence sharing. So, not only is every single attack Kiev carries out funded by Washington, but it’s either carried out with U.S. approval, or at the very least, with U.S. knowledge. So, what the Biden Administration is really saying is that while they don’t publicly condone attacks inside Russian territory, they’re also not doing anything to stop them.
Why? Well, because again, it’s a distraction from the failed Ukrainian counter-offensive, and Kiev’s overall place in the war, as Zelensky continues to dream about re-taking control of Crimea and the Donbass.
Speaking of Zelensky and his fast-track path to becoming a dictator, Ukraine’s parliament just voted to extend martial law and general mobilization, which pushes back the parliamentary elections that were scheduled for October.
Now, I know, some of you will run to the comments to say… but if Ukraine has a parliament, then how can Zelensky possibly be considered a dictator? Well, over the last year, he has banned everyone who even remotely disagrees with him and accused them of being “pro-Russian.” That includes banning major political and nationalizing the media. Anyone who disagrees or doesn’t want to fight in the war, doesn’t have a choice, as martial law in Ukraine also bans men between the ages of 18 and 60 from leaving the country.
AntiWar.com also noted that right now, the presidential election in Ukraine is supposed to be held in March 2024. But if the war is still ongoing, and Zelensky still has a reason to extend martial law… then he’s most certainly not going anywhere.
That is, unless Zelensky’s close friends in the West have other plans. Because if there’s anything we’ve learned from the U.S., it’s that it has no problem turning a puppet into a fall guy in record time.
That’s especially notable, as Joe Biden himself is also facing a presidential election in 2024. And while he has given every indication that he plans to make Ukraine the next ‘forever war,’ the American people are finally starting to question why they’re being forced to send billions and billions of dollars abroad, when there’s a long list of things that desperately need to be addressed at home.
When it comes to the question of if we will see peace talks anytime soon, Russian President Putin noted again this week that Moscow has repeatedly said it is ready to talk, but it has been Kiev, and its Western backers that have refused.
He previously revealed out that when Russia and Ukraine were allowed to have peace talks that were mediated by Turkey in the early weeks of the war last year, they came to a written agreement. But it all fell apart when NATO interfered.
Now that Zelensky is being so vocal about the latest drone attacks inside Russia, it raises a number of questions about whether these attacks will continue, and how Russia will retaliate. Because we can’t forget that it was Zelensky running his mouth and claiming Ukraine could abandon the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, and obtain nuclear weapons once again, that was used as one of Putin’s key points for why he chose to get directly involved in the conflict that has been ongoing since the Western-backed coup in Ukraine in 2014—and that’s something everyone should be talking about.
